~~Dave & Leah Married~~
I met Leah about 10 years ago for the first time at my place when she came over to do a school project with my daughter Sam....I liked her then, I love her now! It was a pleasant surprise when she messaged me about 1 1/2 years ago to see if I was available to do her wedding photos...I am so happy that I was! The entire wedding was held at her Mom & Dad's farm where she grew up and you could tell that the years she spent there a lot of time was spent dreaming of this day and the little details that where evident all over the farm....the signs above being just a small part of it....
All ready and now just one more thing before we get the show on the road!!
Dave and the groomsmens first appearance as they head to the alter....
Some of the beautiful details of the day and then for some fun.....
.....a private moment captured just before we continued :)
Mr & Mrs David Haye....
Just a few other amazing details of Dave & Leahs special day where an Aerial Photograph as a wedding gift, Leah's cousin who learned to twirl fire in Tiawan gave us a fabulous demonstration, along with Fireworks and not your backyard kind, but the real deal!!
Dave and Leah I wish you many years of love and happiness, it was a pleasure to be part of your wedding day!!

My Birthday Week~~Vintage 1959
Once you reach my age *cough* birthdays just don't do it for you the way they use to. By my age *cough* if you want something, well you just go get it, and then the chances of your actual bday falling through the week are pretty damn good for most of your life and we all know that sucks no matter how old you are. This year my bday was on a Tuesday, and it was just a normal Tuesday although I did have my little man Kevie with me and that is always a ray of sunshine. So I got some phone calls and a shitload of Birthday wish's on Facebook, but I was still....how shall we put it....a bit blue. Then I spoke to my sister Lori, and she told me something that I put into action right away. She said and I quote "when your bday falls through the week and you are our age *cough* you have a BIRTHDAY WEEK"...and so it began :)
The first part of my week was breakfast at Cora's Restaurant & shopping at the Penn Centre in St Catherines with Patti Arnold and her daughter Janna. Patti and I have been friends since I moved out to the country over 20 years ago and you have to treasure a friendship like that. We met her son Chris, who by the way use to be in love with my youngest daughter Brittany back in the old preschool days :), and I was treated to a great breakfast, such a treat as I had never been there before....
we all ordered the same breakfast and amazingly it actually looks like the picture they have on their website!!!!
just a couple of more delicious goodies that where brought to the table! and I just liked the way the cereal box's looked....and then it was off to do my FAVORITE thing (other than photography) SHOPPING And how could I forget what my hubby did for me before he headed off to work this morning...handed me a wad of cash to go shopping with for my bday....WOOT WOOT
Patti, Janna and I had a great time and got a LOT of good deals while we where there and of course I got in trouble for taking these pictures...hehehe....shhhh...I knew it wasn't allowed!
My birthday week continued the following Monday when my sister Lori invited me to the movies and dinner at Swiss Chalet....well we didn't actually decide on Swiss Chalet till the last minute and spent a few days going back and forth about what we felt was "good" food, ran out of time so that's where we ended up. Then of course before we go to the show we always go to Indigo/Chapters, where my luck continued and I found a frame I have been looking for and bought a couple of books. My sister bought a book about Zombies...I stayed more traditinal in my choices :). We decided to go see "The Help" and I have to say it is by far the best movie I have seen in a very long time and the only movie I have ever been to where the audience clapped at the end of it....It was also one of the books I bought and I couldn't put it down!
I highly recommend this Bday week stuff and am going to make it a tradition...at least for me :)

~~Scott & Amy Married~~
What an amazing and beautiful day Scott & Amy had for their wedding day. The sun was shining and it was HOT out, so needless to say a lot of beverages where consumed throughout the day (and I aint talkin water...lol) We started our day out at the amazing Mercedes Salon and Spa on James St in Hamilton....
after being pampered at the salon by Javier and his staff it was then up to Motel 6 for Amy and her ladies to get ready....
time to head over the the Knollwood Golf Course in Ancaster to meet up with Mr Garbett!!!
I did Scott and Amy's engagement session last year and soon came to realize that Scott is a pretty serious guy....not a big one for smiling so I was determined to capture this elusive part of him....I think I did :)
Scott and Amy it was a joy and a pleasure to be included in your special day...I wish you love, happiness and good fortune in your future....
